Kate Wilson
MARKETING MANAGER
Kate is a communications specialist who has more than 15 years’ experience in content creation, media relations, digital marketing and copywriting. She is currently delivering strategic and proactive corporate communications campaigns for clients across a range of industries.
A former print journalist, Kate worked for newspapers in Bundaberg and on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, where she acted as editor and chief of staff.
Kate worked in state politics for eight years providing advice on media relations, social media management and policy. As senior digital communications and social media adviser for the Queensland Government, she single-handedly ran the Premier’s online channels and worked on major projects including The Queensland Plan and the G20 Cultural Program. Kate has extensive experience in building and maintaining social media communities, crisis communications and government relations.
Kate established a digital marketing micro-agency offering strategic advice, content creation, social media management and website design to not-for-profit organisations, small businesses, industry groups, and local governments.
Kate has a broad skill base, including as a conference presenter, and an in-depth understanding of all the different components required to deliver integrated PR and communications programs for both the public and private sectors.
